Which Way Is Heaven?

To get to heaven turn right and go straight.  Why not left; because Jesus said follow me, therefore the directions are clear.  Turn from your ways on the left.

Turning right ensures the correct path, however like any journey preparation is to be made for a successful and productive travel.

"There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him." (John 3: 1,2 Key Bible, KJV)

Nicodemus was such a man who was at the intersection seeking directions to the kingdom.  Speculation is given to why Nicodemus came to Jesus at night.  To put it plainly, that is when his journey began.  He received an answer.

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3: 3, Key Bible, KJV)

There are times when we do not know where we are going, yet we are trying to get somewhere.  Nicodemus was such a man.  He seen the miracles Jesus done and he acknowledged God, therefore he was drawn by the power of God to seek him.

"Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? (John 3: 4)

Clearly Nicodemus question the directions Jesus gave him simply because he did not understand, so Jesus made it clearer.  "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.  The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." (John 3: 6-8, Key Bible, KJV)

The conversation continues until Nicodemus excepted Jesus' instructions and he later professed Jesus before the Pharisees.  This profession of Christ is announcing the good news.  What is the good news?the gospel.  What is the gospel? the kingdom.  Nicodemus plainly said, I have found the way!

Whose Plan Is It?

Ephesians 4: 1 says, "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called." In verse two, Paul says we are to walk in all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. This walking is not a physical walking but a spiritual one.  It is how we are to live our lives to the glory of God.  How worthy is your walk? It goes deeper than afore mention.  Consider this; There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Many Are Called Few Are Chosen

"For many are called but few are chosen." ( Matthew 22: 14) What does this scripture mean to you? The calling is a call to service as a servant for the Living God.  There are many Gods but there is only one Jesus, therefore we must differentiate when we say god. Consider what Jesus said of Saul of Tarsus before Jesus during his conversion: And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias, And he said, Behold, I am here .
