Reality Shows

In recent times television is bombarded with various "Reality Shows."  These shows give its viewers a behind the look into the lives of people and their fleshly desires.

These shows outline social and personal needs of women and men.  Although those shows displaying people acting out their lives before an audience is creating a distraction from the reality of real life as one may know it.

Where is God in these people's lives? No, not any god, but the Living God.  I watched an episode of one of these shows and I questioned whether the people are actors or real people with real issues.  What I saw was females looking for men with money and men looking for a booty call.

Morales's individuals displaying flesh and people will watch these shows religiously.  Where are the reality shows of a Christian family day to day life? Where are the shows of a mother's changed life after loosing a child? Where are the shows of family facing the day to day managing on little or no budget?

Go behind the close doors of those who live the real reality and you will find not what is seen on television. 

These people are making money? Are these shows taking the place of soap operas because that is what they are.  Scarcely dressed women being wined and dined.

Sadly, people go through life watching what appears to be the perfect life when all they need to do is look at what God is providing for them and that is the reality.

    Great post and to the point. I personally agree that these shows are garbage. The media calls them reality, but they are far from it. Most are scripted and actors paid. The reality part of the show is the fact that people watch these shows and try to live like them. Then they wonder why they feel so empty and lost! These shows have destroyed what reality really is and people are lost and confused.

Whose Plan Is It?

Ephesians 4: 1 says, "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called." In verse two, Paul says we are to walk in all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. This walking is not a physical walking but a spiritual one.  It is how we are to live our lives to the glory of God.  How worthy is your walk? It goes deeper than afore mention.  Consider this; There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Many Are Called Few Are Chosen

"For many are called but few are chosen." ( Matthew 22: 14) What does this scripture mean to you? The calling is a call to service as a servant for the Living God.  There are many Gods but there is only one Jesus, therefore we must differentiate when we say god. Consider what Jesus said of Saul of Tarsus before Jesus during his conversion: And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias, And he said, Behold, I am here .
