The Great Commission
Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. (Matthew 28: 16, 17)
Those that doubted, hesitated. Those today that hesitated, doubt.
And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and , lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen (Matthew 28: 18-20)
Jesus asserts his authority by letting the disciples know he has all power and He his now in charge. We as Christians are charged with first, obeying.
Jesus commands us to go; not market, not commercialize but go. Jesus didn't say preach when you arrive He said, "teach all nations (people). In the world we live in there are millions of people who have not heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus does not intend for these souls to remain in darkness; he died for them as well.
God blessed America for a reason. In our present condition in this country, things aren't as lavished as they were once upon a time. This country is under attack by spiritual forces with the intent of destroying God's purpose. God blessed this country for his purpose not our own and we have taken the blessing and squandered it upon our own lust. It isn't the politicians, the rich, or the dishonest. Let us call it what it really is; God's Judgment.
There are those who make claim they support missionaries in countries where Christians are tortured, in-prisoned and killed everyday that Americans lavish themselves in "I got mine, you get yours."
Jesus further stated, "teaching them to observe all things he commanded," yet the social church has impeded The Great Commission, therefore rendering it void of obedient Christians to a certain degree.
Those that remain in the dark are destine for an eternity in hell. Many Christians may very well find themselves there as well. Remember the rich man and Lazarus. The Secular World is not part of the Commission; neither is humanism.
Consider this: The enemy is creeping closer everyday. He is blinding many with the illusion if you say you are a Christian you are safe. Consider this:
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness, and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (James 1: 19-22)
