A New Day

One year ago I posted to my blog page.  Since then I have labored in the gospel.  I have experienced the ups and downs, the rejection, the loneliness that sometimes appears when nothing else seems to exist.

I have seen wars in the churches.  As I ponder what the heck are people up to in God's house, it came to me they do not fear God.  If they did they would not conduct themselves in such a worldly manner.  Through it all I considered these people.  I mean they may be faking it until they make it (how sad) or they believe they can fool man, but the amazing part about all of this is, don't they realize God is watching everything we do and say?  wow! they are truly blind.

Scripture mentions giving the appearance of godliness.  From my seat on the pew the devils had enough sense to tremble at the name of Jesus, but humans as scripture says they parish from the lack of knowledge of God, their lips worship God, but their hearts are far from him; they call on the name of God in vain, and they have forgotten God's commandments or maybe they just don't give a hoot what God says. 

Maybe their hearts are harden to sound doctrine.  Whatever their situation, I just don't understand why so many people are trying to break into hell.

Whose Plan Is It?

Ephesians 4: 1 says, "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called." In verse two, Paul says we are to walk in all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. This walking is not a physical walking but a spiritual one.  It is how we are to live our lives to the glory of God.  How worthy is your walk? It goes deeper than afore mention.  Consider this; There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (Eph. 4: 4 - 7) Jesus is the chief corner stone which the foundation is built, therefore those who are the saints of God are the temple of God.  It does not matter where you have your name on a roll, what you should be concern about is your name in the Book of Life. Many Are Called Few Are Chosen

"For many are called but few are chosen." ( Matthew 22: 14) What does this scripture mean to you? The calling is a call to service as a servant for the Living God.  There are many Gods but there is only one Jesus, therefore we must differentiate when we say god. Consider what Jesus said of Saul of Tarsus before Jesus during his conversion: And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias, And he said, Behold, I am here . (Acts 9: 10, Key Bible KJV) As you see from verse 10 Jesus called Ananias by name and pressed him into service.  Jesus chose Ananias the disciple for this task and Jesus calls many of us for service; do we answer as Ananias or do we ponder the call as if something strange has come over us? or do we ignore the calling and wonder later what is happening in our life our spirit.  It's called conviction and this is a good thing.  Those that are not called do not suffer conviction they s...
