What Does Ministry Mean To You?

On any given day we walk pass at least fifty people a day.  How many do you actually give a smile or say hello?  Do they smile back or do they look at you as if you are a serial killer?

The world we live in today is diverse in many ways.  Ethnicity, financially and spiritually are power driven sources that separates people, places and things.  Of course there are circles where people reach across these divides.  Some for selfish reasons others for moral reasons.  Whatever the reason let God be the center of your universe.

Ephesians 4: 1 says, "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called." A New Day

Well here we are in the twenty-first century. Actually we are eighteen years into the twenty-first century and it looks like the world is in worse shape that ever. One may ask, how so? Well, the country is divided over many issues and the United States has a president who is more interested in his own business rather than the people's business. In other words he has the mentality of a task master who believes the American people are his subjects, but he fails to realize he works for the people. What I don't get is how can a person who is not a people person govern people?

The Strait Gate The Strait Gate is a narrow entrance.   Consider the words of Jesus in Luke 13: 22-24. Verse 22:   And he went through the cities and village, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Verse 23:   Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved?   And he said unto them, Verse 24:   Strive to enter in at the strait gate:   for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. The path to the kingdom is a narrow one.   Following any other path than Jesus, one will not be able to enter. The gospel is the good news.   What is the good news? The kingdom !
